Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Senior Logistics Manager (Elkridge, MD) to lead distribution center operations, warehousing and final mile activities. This role interfaces with customers and drives LEAN improvements while ensuring safety and performance.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, people development, P&L awareness, and cross-functional collaboration within a Fortune 500 logistics leader. Salary $90k–$95k with 10% annual bonus; schedule Monday–Friday, 5:00 am–3:00 pm, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or 8+ years relevant experience.
• Master's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics, warehouse or industry related field.
• 3+ years Supervisory experience.
• 2+ years Profit & Loss experience preferred.
• 2+ years Lean principles, systems and tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
• Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s) and with other work groups within the organization.
• May manage the profit and loss statements based on the complexity and scope of the organization.
• Lead a proactive safety program within the work group(s) consistent with company policy to provide a safe work environment.
