Job summary

Berkshire Grey, Inc. in Bedford, MA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale automation initiatives from planning through closeout. You will own scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, vendor performance, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent projects.

You will develop detailed plans, manage budgets, track changes, and coordinate testing, ramp, and handoffs to support teams. Travel ~50% is expected; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in robotics or supply chain.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to perform under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS Project, JIRA or Asana and Power BI.
• Knowledge of quality management, risk management, change control and issue resolution practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from kickoff through customer acceptance and manage several projects concurrently.
• Develop detailed plans and schedules with milestones, resources, budgets, and dependencies in the PSA tool.
• Define project scope, goals and resource needs with cross-functional teams; lead kickoff and design-phase alignment.
• Secure signoff on baselined scope and manage changes through approvals.
• Support project estimates during sales cycles as needed.
• Develop and manage project budgets; update monthly forecasts.
• Track change orders and alert on potential overruns with corrective actions.
• Maintain risk registers and issue trackers; lead reviews and mitigation plans.
• Develop quality plans and metrics; ensure testing is documented and tracked to completion.
• Coordinate volume ramp plans and transition from prototype to production.
• Identify and evaluate vendors (contractors, riggers, installers, conveyors); manage relationships.
• Create project communication plan and governance; lead status meetings and executive updates.
• Lead closeout activities, lessons learned, and transition to support.
• Improve PM templates and stay current on robotics and supply chain practices.
