Job summary

ID Logistics in Johns Creek, GA is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, evaluation, implementation, commissioning, and optimization of automated material handling solutions across warehousing and distribution. You will own the full engineering lifecycle, coordinating with OEMs and integrators, and traveling 50–75% to project sites.

Qualified candidates have 7+ years in warehouse automation, conveyor systems, and strong controls knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in material handling, warehouse automation, or system integration.
Experience designing, implementing, commissioning, or supporting conveyor/MHS systems.

Responsibilities

Lead design, engineering, implementation, and optimization of MHS for warehouse operations.
Develop system concepts: belt/roller conveyors, MDR, sortation, pallet handling, and AS/RS.
Perform throughput, capacity, cycle-time, and bottleneck analyses to validate designs.
Review layouts, elevations, equipment arrangements, and access for maintenance.
Develop equipment specs, DoO, control narratives, and performance requirements.
Lead site installation, commissioning, startup, and ramp-up.
