Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Senior Warehouse Automation Process Engineer to transform distribution centers into Smart Warehouses. You will design and implement high-speed automated equipment, and drive integration with WMS/ERP while guiding cross-functional teams.

Lead strategic automation initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure compliant, safe operations across multi-site deployments. This role requires strong leadership and industry expertise to deliver measurable performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7-10+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or automated material handling environments.
• Proven experience leading large-scale warehouse automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong knowledge of automated material handling systems, robotics, conveyor systems, sortation equipment, ASRS, AMRs, and AGVs.
• Experience integrating automation systems with WMS, ERP, and other enterprise software platforms.
• Demonstrated project management experience managing budgets, schedules, vendors, and resources.
• Ability to travel up to 30-50% as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of high-speed automated equipment.
• Coordinate integration with WMS, ERP, and other IT systems.
• Develop long-term automation roadmap aligned with goals.
• Oversee multi-site warehouse automation projects from concept to start-up.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all automation projects.
