CDW, a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider, seeks a Senior Network Systems Engineer to lead design, testing, integration, and 3rd-level operations for the House WAN/LAN. You will analyze data network requirements, review proposals, and guide senior staff through complex problem resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and supporting large scale campus networks and/or wide-area networks.
Experience in contract management, project management, SDLC, and change management processes required.
Experience with Visio.

Responsibilities

Evaluates and recommends commercially available, standards compliant wide-area networking solutions.
Develops traffic engineering studies and analyses to determine data network requirements.
Performs cost/benefit analysis on competing methods of providing data communications.
Designs complex integrated communication networks and develops network service specifications and procedures.
Assists in the preparation of Request for Proposals and Request for Quotations.
Reviews and evaluates reliable, cost-effective, and efficient wide-area communications for the House.
Provides senior level operational support on day-to-day operations and resolution to complex WAN/LAN problems.
Conducts performance and bandwidth utilization monitoring of wide-area communication systems.
Keeps abreast of relevant telecommunications technology changes and applies industry standards to House requirements.
Trains other House staff in telecommunications technologies and provides technical guidance to junior level engineers.
