Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Authentication – Wallets to monitor wallet authentication performance and develop actions to reduce fraud risk. You will partner with Emerging Payments and fraud policy teams, build dashboards, and analyze user journeys to improve security and customer experience.

The role requires strong data analytics skills, advanced Excel and programming in SAS/SQL/Python/R, plus travel as needed. Hybrid work options and a national scope are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in finance-related roles in lieu of degree.
• Experience analyzing large data sets to derive actionable fraud insights.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel.
• Willingness to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor authentication performance and its impact on wallet performance.
• Develop tactical/strategic actions to address wallet fraud risk.
• Partner with Emerging Payments on tokenization and wallets programs.
• Collaborate with fraud policy teams on provisioning rules in early days.
• Build dashboards and use analytics to reduce journey friction.
• Conduct deep dive analysis of authentication leakage.
• Respond to wallet program complaints and handle special projects.
