Job summary

ID.me is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SDE-IV) to join the Wallet - Authentication team in Mountain View, CA. You will own significant pieces of the authentication stack end-to-end, shaping sign-in, registration, MFA, and account management for millions of users.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate with Product, Design, Security, Identity, and other teams to deliver secure, scalable auth experiences in a fast-moving product environment with on-site work five

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development with full-stack emphasis.
• Experience with modern server-side frameworks (Rails, Django, Laravel).
• Proficiency in React and modern frontend development.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling and secure authentication.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship authentication features for sign-in, registration, MFA, and account recovery.
• Maintain real-time risk engine and ensure production reliability across auth flows.
• Write high-quality, tested code with strong reviews and CI/CD practices.
• Integrate with MFA providers and internal identity services.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, Identity, and other teams to align on strategy.
