Job summary

DMI is seeking a Sr. Vulnerability Management Analyst to lead the vulnerability program for a state-level department. You will plan, implement, and sustain vulnerability management tasks, coordinate with SOC, and drive remediation strategies across Windows and Linux environments.

The role requires RMF experience, Tenable/Nessus proficiency, and strong written and verbal communication. Remote US work is possible with near-Crownsville, MD travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years RMF experience supporting vulnerability scans and ATO readiness.
• 10+ years LAN admin experience on Windows and Linux systems.
• 5+ years with Tenable Security Center/Nessus scanners and scan results.
• 5+ years managing security assessment projects end-to-end.
• Degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• Ability to work outside regular hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily vulnerability management program operations.
• Coordinate between Security Assessment and SOC on scanning activities.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and close vulnerability projects/tasks.
• Configure patch and secure configuration audit scans.
• Maintain assets, plugins, STIGs, CIS benchmarks and credentials.
• Troubleshoot failed scans and credential issues.
• Analyze findings and document remediation guidance.
• Produce vulnerability reports and status updates.
• Ensure integration between tools and asset/risk platforms.
• Stay informed on cyber defense policies and compliance.
