Job summary

Ursa Major, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior strategic leader to own the company’s long-term corporate strategy across propulsion and defense markets. You will align investments, programs, and partnerships with DoD priorities and industrial base needs while guiding executive decision-making.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will lead cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Government Relations to translate complex requirements into executable

Qualifications

• Significant experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, VC, management consulting, defense technology, aerospace, or relevant government role.

Responsibilities

• Own Ursa Major’s long-term strategic roadmap across core markets and products.
• Lead market and competitive intelligence across DoD priorities and industry trends.
• Identify and evaluate major opportunities for growth in new products, programs, markets, and geographies.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate investments in manufacturing, facilities, and R&D.
• Lead identification and evaluation of M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, and other inorganic growth.
• Translate DoD requirements and operational needs into actionable company strategy.
• Provide strategic analyses to CEO, CSO, Board, and executive team.
