Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a VP of Corporate Strategy to lead development and execution of the company's strategic roadmap across solid rocket motors, hypersonics, and space propulsion. You will work with senior leaders to evaluate markets, investments, and partnerships, translating customer and DoD priorities into actionable plans.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will drive cross-functional initiatives with Government Relations, Finance, Engineering, and Manufacturing to align strategy

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, defense technology, aerospace, or a relevant government role.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. defense industrial base and national security technology ecosystem.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical, financial, operational, and government information into clear strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and execute Ursa Major’s corporate strategy across core markets.
• Produce market and competitive analyses focusing on DoD priorities, funding, competitors and supply chains.
• Identify opportunities to expand programs, customers, products, and geographies.
• Evaluate acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, and other inorganic growth options.
• Provide strategic analyses supporting executive decisions by the CEO and CSO.
• Collaborate with Government Relations, Business Development, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing.
