Job summary

Highwire seeks a Vice President of Public Relations for Business of Health to lead strategic communications across healthcare sectors and mentor teams. You will shepherd senior client relationships, shape narratives, and drive growth for complex health accounts.

You will oversee budgets, guide thought leadership, and ensure high-impact results for clients transforming how healthcare is financed, delivered, and experienced. A strong agency background in health is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience in an agency.
• Proven agency leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in Business of Health communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of Business of Health accounts with strategic direction.
• Advise clients across managed care, health plans, care delivery, and related areas.
• Define integrated communications strategies to build brand authority.
• Provide executive-level counsel on messaging, reputation, and crisis response.
• Oversee teams translating complex healthcare topics into clear narratives.
• Own senior client relationships and drive retention and growth.
• Identify and pursue organic growth across existing accounts.
• Oversee budgets, staffing models, and margin management.
• Contribute to thought leadership programs and client visibility.
