Highwire, a strategy-driven marketing communications agency, seeks a Vice President of Public Relations (Business of Health) to lead senior client relationships, shape strategy, and drive growth across the Health Industry Sector.

You will guide teams delivering complex, high‑value campaigns, oversee executive messaging, and mentor practitioners while expanding thought leadership and new business opportunities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience, including agency leadership.
• Deep expertise leading communications for Health of Business sector organizations.
• Proven ability to own and scale integrated communications programs for complex healthcare brands.
• Strong command of healthcare media landscape across multiple channels.
• Experience providing executive-level client counsel and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Track record of mentoring and retaining high-performing teams.
• Business acumen with forecasting, resourcing, and revenue growth responsibilities.
• Experience supporting and winning new business in a competitive agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of key Business of Health accounts with strategic direction and delivery.
• Advise on messaging, reputation management, and crisis response for healthcare clients.
• Define integrated communications strategies to build brand authority and market leadership.
• Oversee senior client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth.
• Drive organic growth through thought leadership, research storytelling, and executive visibility.
• Oversee budgets, staffing models, and margins for assigned accounts.
