Highwire, a strategic marketing communications agency, seeks a Vice President, Public Relations (Business of Health) in New York. You will lead a portfolio of health-focused accounts, shape strategy, and drive growth by delivering high-impact campaigns for healthcare clients navigating complex markets.

This senior role requires 10+ years in PR with agency leadership, deep knowledge of the Business of Health ecosystem, and the ability to mentor teams, secure new business, and advise C-suite

Qualifications

• 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience with significant agency leadership (required).
• Deep expertise leading communications for organizations in Business of Health, including managed care, benefits, care delivery, and health systems.
• Proven ability to provide executive-level client counsel and manage senior stakeholder relationships (C-suite, board).

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of key Business of Health accounts, set strategic direction and ensure best-in-class delivery.
• Advise clients across managed care, health plans, care delivery and talent, value-based care, and hospitals/health systems.
• Define integrated communications strategies that build brand authority and long-term market leadership.
• Provide executive-level counsel on messaging, reputation management, issues/crisis response, and health narratives.
• Oversee teams in translating complex healthcare topics into clear, compelling stories for executive and mainstream audiences.
