Job summary
BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President, Principal Full Stack Engineer for the Performance Product Engineering team in Boston, MA. You will guide the architecture for a high-scale calculation platform, define standards, and align technical direction with business goals.
You will influence multiple teams and partner with senior leadership on technical strategy. You will lead the evaluation of AI/ML capabilities, prototype new approaches, and drive production adoption while mentoring
Qualifications
- 10+ years building and operating production software with depth in at least one stack
- Demonstrated architectural ownership of a system used by multiple teams
- Strong background in data-intensive, distributed, or high-throughput systems
- Track record of technical influence without formal authority
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving legacy systems
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture end-to-end for the calculation platform and related APIs
- Lead cross-team design reviews and resolve integration handoffs
- Partner with leadership to translate business goals into technical strategy
- Prototype and evaluate AI/ML approaches and drive production adoption
- Mentor senior engineers and set design, testing, and performance standards
