Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association is seeking a strategic Vice President of Philanthropy to lead fundraising and donor relations in Omaha, NE. The role drives annual campaigns, major gifts, and capital campaigns while partnering with leadership to advance mission-driven philanthropy.

The VPP will collaborate with marketing, development, and program teams to build lasting donor relationships, oversee fundraising operations, and ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in progressively responsible fund development activity.
• Strong public speaking background and experience in community relations and public relations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates fundraising strategies addressing agency needs.
• Establishes performance measures, tracks results, and collaborates with leadership and board.
• Manages giving programs including annual campaigns, events, grants supervision, major gifts, and capital campaigns.
• Cultivates donor relationships and engages board, staff, and leadership in fundraising initiatives.
• Partners with marketing for branding and donor communications, and supports revenue-generating strategies.
