Job summary

Lumaenergy in Puerto Rico seeks a senior engineering leader to oversee the full engineering lifecycle from planning through design delivery and new customer integration, unifying planning, asset engineering, design, and grid modernization to support a safe, reliable, and resilient grid.

Reporting to the COO, this role directs enterprise T&D system planning, asset management, protective controls, and technology initiatives, while ensuring compliance with NERC/FERC, IEEE, NEC and environmental

Qualifications

Broad expertise in T&D planning, design engineering, asset engineering, and protection & control.
Experience in capital programs, O&M, and federally funded projects.
Strong knowledge of NERC, IEEE, NEC and utility regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to lead senior engineering teams and multi-unit programs.

Responsibilities

Directs enterprise T&D system planning, criteria, and capital decisions.
Owns enterprise asset engineering strategy, lifecycle criteria, and risk-based prioritization.
Leads engineering design delivery for capital programs and new connections.
Oversees environmental permitting support and regulatory compliance.
Advises executive leadership on governance and strategic objectives.
