Job summary

VNS Health is seeking a strategic Product Leader for its Health Plans portfolio in New York. You will drive the Medicare Advantage and Medicaid/MLTC product strategies, translating market and policy insights into actionable plans across clinical, network, and operations functions.

You will lead development, governance, and annual CMS bid processes, partnering with Finance, Actuarial, and Analytics to optimize member value and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Ten years progressive managerial experience in health care administration, planning and financial oversight.
• Significant leadership experience in health insurance or managed care, including responsibility for product strategy, development, integration or portfolio performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional product decisions and translate business, policy and market developments into operational and financial action.
• Experience working across Finance/Actuarial, Clinical, Network, Operations, Sales with government-sponsored managed care knowledge.
• Medicare assignment with Advantage product management, CMS bid, regulatory processes; SN planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements a one- to three-year strategy and priorities for the assigned product portfolio.
• Leads product development, enhancement, positioning and lifecycle decisions; evaluate market opportunities and member needs.
• Integrates product strategy with operations, network, clinical programs, sales, community engagement and member experience.
• Recommends product priorities and tradeoffs to Health Plans leadership balancing competitiveness and financial sustainability.
• Partners with Finance, Actuarial and Analytics to assess membership, retention, revenue, margin and experience measures.
• Leads cross-functional review of product results and directs corrective strategies and improvements.
• Develops and presents business cases for product investments and growth opportunities.
• Assesses policy, benefit, network and service changes to improve product performance.
