Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking a Vice President of Marine Operations to lead fleetwide marine and safety operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, safe sailing, and an exceptional Guest and Crew experience across ships and private destinations.

This executive role requires extensive experience in marine or cruise operations, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of international maritime standards, with responsibility for both shipboard and shoreside teams and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including 7+ years of management responsibility in marine or cruise operations.
• Senior leadership experience in cruise, passenger vessel, or maritime operations with cross-geographic oversight.
• Deep operational knowledge of large passenger vessel operations, shipboard command structures, marine safety, regulatory compliance, voyage planning, and fleet operations.
• Proven ability to lead Captains, senior deck officers, and shoreside marine operations teams; talent development and succession planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleetwide marine operations and safety across ships and private destinations.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and oversight to shipboard Captains and shoreside teams.
• Ensure vessels operate in accordance with SOLAS, STCW, IMO, and company requirements; maintain Safety Management System governance.
• Drive safety culture and continuous improvement across ships and relevant shoreside functions.
