Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an experienced Safety Operations professional to oversee shipboard safety, collaborate with Safety Managers, and coordinate maintenance and safety systems across vessels and island operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years in shipboard safety, Naval Architecture, or Marine Engineering. Master Mariner or Chief Engineer licenses are preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shipboard Deck, Engineering, or Safety Officer role.
  • Experience influencing leadership with a strategic, collaborative approach.
  • Strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, audits and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Safety Managers and shipboard.
  • Inspects vessels and Islands to ensure safety standards and compliance.
  • Review and update maintenance schedules based on Ship Survey findings.
  • Define and maintain operational requirements for riding teams.
  • Organize and schedule safety-related maintenance with engineering ops.
  • Maintain safety documentation and AMOS job creation.
  • Develop and update ship assembly plans in Fidelio and related systems.
  • Coordinate LNG and Methanol safety activities and bunkering planning.
  • Lead discussions with builders and suppliers on safety disciplines.
  • Attend meetings and yard visits as required.
