Job summary

Disney Cruise Line in Celebration, Florida is seeking a Safety Operations Manager to lead fleet and private island safety programs, ensuring compliance with Class, national and international regulations and internal standards. You will partner with Safety Managers and shipboard teams to maintain safe operations and drive continuous improvements across maintenance and engineering initiatives.

The role requires at least 5 years of shipboard safety or related technical experience, strong leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years shipboard safety or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to influence leadership and drive safety initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and information management.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Safety Managers and shipboard teams.
• Inspects vessels and Islands for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Reviews and updates maintenance schedules based on Ship Survey findings.
• Defines and maintains reviews of operational requirements for riding teams.
• Organizes safety-related maintenance work with engineering operations.
• Leads special safety projects and instills best practices.
• Develops procedures under Safety Operations management guidance.
• Coordinates AMOS job creation for safety maintenance.
• Maintains up-to-date technical documentation and drawings.
• Partners with Marine and Engineering to align safety equipment plans.
