Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in New York seeks a Technology Business Architect to guide transformational IT improvements for Citi's Finance functions.

You will articulate a comprehensive future-state architecture and how AI and automation will power it tomorrow, working with broad domain knowledge and senior stakeholders. The role requires 10+ years in finance/architecture, leadership of matrix teams, and strong communication to influence across technical and executive levels.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an engineering and/or architecture capacity supporting Finance or related business functions, ideally in Financial Services.
• Proven track record delivering cross-functional business process improvement and enterprise-wide architecture change.
• Experience leading virtual teams in matrix environments; self-motivated and able to own initiatives end-to-end.
• Outstanding communication skills enabling influence at all levels, from technical developers to executives.
• Deep familiarity with modern enterprise information architecture practices.
• AI domain knowledge: understanding of AI/ML, GenAI and their finance use cases.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and set business architecture standards across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations.
• Assess ongoing business and regulatory needs into Enterprise Business Architecture and Transformation.
• Lead collaboration with Finance and Shared Services to define current and future-state architectures.
• Partner with data architects to influence data architecture, governance, and platform direction.
• Align investments to target state architecture across Finance tech partners; justify deviations.
• Develop and evangelize business architecture principles for straight-through processing and accurate financial reporting.
• Champion Citi architecture principles in deliverables and guidance to engineering teams.
• Shape Book of Work scope and sequencing with Finance Tech Design Authority involvement.
• Own and govern design/build processes and create architecture strategy papers for senior leaders.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI, ML, and GenAI within Finance processes with governance.
• Lead capability mapping, maturity assessments, and maintain architecture knowledge repository.
• Drive continuous improvement of the business architecture discipline with tooling and training.
• Own reference data to support consistent reporting structure.
