Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President, Methodology to lead our Internal Audit team in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on advancing audit strategy through methodology, policy design, and testing approaches.

You will develop and maintain audit processes, drive best practices, and collaborate with IA leadership and global teams to enhance risk coverage. A strong background in audit leadership and executive communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
• 10–12 years of professional experience including 3–5 years in management.
• Experience in a mid-to-senior level audit leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new/enhanced Audit Practices and ensure rollout and downstream impact.
• Develop and maintain IA policies and procedures, audit methodology and testing approaches.
• Maintain methodology with updates and distribute communications across the department.
• Assist IA self-assessment to regulatory/industry standards and enhance methodology.
• Build and maintain relationships across the Audit department and with external peers.
• Share best practices and collaborate across IA teams and functions worldwide.
• Manage relationships with IA senior management and audit teams globally.
