Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Auditor for Finance Audit to lead and perform audits of finance reporting activities, collaborating with teams to identify risks and improve controls. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/ACA preferred) and 5-7 years of audit experience, with exposure to analytics in auditing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant critical thinking specialty such as MIS, DIS, Computer Science, Mathematics preferred.
• Relevant Professional Certification (CPA, ACA) preferred.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Prior experience in Audit or the relevant specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads or performs audits related to Finance reporting activities and works as a team member on audit assignments.
• Leads risk-focused planning, fieldwork and reporting in accordance with Internal Audit policies and standards.
• Ensures testing and activities are adequate to evaluate adherence to policies and regulations.
• Demonstrates understanding of business processes through flowcharting, work papers, analysis, and discussions with management.
• Identifies inconsistencies in the control environment and communicates audit findings to clients.
