Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, NM (on-site or remote) seeks an Assistant General Counsel to join its 4-person legal team, providing expert and timely guidance on commercial matters across licensing, IP and data privacy, and corporate governance. Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 15 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 10 years practicing in-house at a media company.
• Broad legal knowledge including IP, real estate, construction, governance, data privacy, licensing and contracts.
• Exceptional drafting and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Offer legal and strategic advice across many areas including IP, real estate, construction and litigation.
• Draft, review and negotiate bespoke contracts and policies with pragmatic handling of commercial issues.
• Provide business-facing, actionable legal advice and build relationships across departments.
• Advise local exhibitions on employee relations, regulations and operational issues.
• Assist in due diligence, discovery requests, and manage external counsel in litigation.
• Help build and refine legal processes, templates and policies as the company scales.
