Job summary

Protective Life Corporation is seeking a seasoned executive to lead the Asset Protection Division (APD) controllership as Vice President, Corporate Controller. This role drives financial reporting, policy, governance and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The successful candidate will bring 12+ years in accounting/financial reporting, CPA, Big 4 experience, and a track record of influencing senior leaders across Finance, Actuarial, FP&A and Operations while applying US GAAP and

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience, with leadership at scale.
• Experience in insurance/asset protection products (warranty, service contracts, credit insurance, GAP).
• Public Accounting experience (Big 4 or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns APD controllership with accountability for financial reporting, control environment, and accounting integrity.
• Develops and executes strategic direction for APD accounting and reporting, aligned with Finance and enterprise priorities.
• Oversees end-to-end close and reporting for APD, including complex product lines and distributions.
