Job summary

WorkHero seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Voice AI & Data Infrastructure, to own the voice and data stack end-to-end in a remote-capable role. You will build AI-driven workflows, streaming voice pipelines, and the analytics layer atop call data.

You will work on real-time voice agents, WebRTC integrations, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scalable, low-latency systems and cost optimization. Join a product and engineering team driving AI-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior-level backend experience shipping production systems you own.
• Hands-on with realtime voice/streaming systems (SIP/Twilio, WebRTC, STT/TTS).
• Data modeling, warehousing and analytics on production data.
• Proficient in a typed backend language (TypeScript preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and propose AI-native solutions.
• Write clean scalable code.
• Own voice and data stack end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy, operate.
• Optimize performance, latency and cost of realtime AI systems.
• Respond to critical system issues and ensure reliability.
• Mentor team members and collaborate across teams.
