Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure engineer to install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms in enterprise data centers. The role involves VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper-V administration, troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration.

You will manage Windows Failover Clusters, perform patching and lifecycle upgrades, develop automation scripts, monitor SLAs, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT service delivery and high-volume environments such as call centers or technical support operations.
• Strong triaging, ticket lifecycle management, and 24x7 support experience.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with vendors (HPE, Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft) to resolve critical incidents.
• Manage and support Windows Failover Clusters on Server 2022/2025.
• Perform HPE server maintenance (SPP updates, firmware, iLO upgrades).
• Upgrade and patch VMware ESX/ESXi hosts using VMware Lifecycle Manager.
• Execute Nutanix cluster upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Build and deploy host infrastructure across VMware ESXi, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
• Administer Hyper-V environments (S2D, SAN-based clusters, standalone).
• Develop and use automation scripts to streamline operations.
• Perform Hyper-V patching with minimal business impact.
• Upgrade and maintain VMware vCenter in line with best practices.
• Manage VMware features (vMotion, SVMotion, HA, DRS).
• Identify, remediate security vulnerabilities across VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, Windows.
• Ensure SLA-aligned service delivery and operations.
• Leverage PowerShell and Python for automation and reporting.
• Analyze incidents, reduce SLA breaches, run trend analysis, SIPs to improve stability.
• Monitor incidents, requests, and changes through ServiceNow.
• Participate in on-call rotations including after-hours and weekends.
