Job summary

Wipro in the United States is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments and lead virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper‑V.

You will collaborate with vendors, manage Windows Failover Clusters, perform firmware upgrades, and automate using PowerShell and Python. The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience and a VMware Server Admin background.

• Strong client-facing communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V.
• Collaborate with vendors (HPE, Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft) to resolve incidents.
• Manage Windows Failover Clusters on Windows Server 2022/2025.
• Perform HPE server maintenance (SPP updates, firmware, iLO).
• Upgrade/patch ESXi hosts with VMware Lifecycle Manager; Nutanix lifecycle mgmt.
• Build and deploy host infrastructure across VMware ESXi, Nutanix, Hyper-V.
• Administer Hyper-V infrastructures (S2D, SAN-based clusters, standalone).
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operations; PowerShell and Python.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance.
