Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking an experienced Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer to support the DTRA I3TS Infrastructure Services team. You will install, configure, secure, operate, and maintain VMware virtualization and storage across multiple sites to support critical mission operations.

The role requires hands-on expertise with ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, Horizon, App Volumes, and VDI components, along with strong DoD security compliance and collaboration with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with substantial relevant experience or higher education.
• DoD 8570.11 IAT II level certifications (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP) preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/vRealize Horizon and VDI environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage including NetApp/Dell/Hitachi storage solutions and vSAN.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and VMs across multiple sites.
• Design scalable storage architectures supporting performance, resiliency, and DoD mission requirements.
• Configure Omnissa Horizon 7/8, App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager, and UAGs.
• Ensure DISA STIG compliance and DoD security controls across the environment.
• Tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of virtual infrastructure and storage layers.
• Mentor junior admins and develop documentation for architecture and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and customers for optimal solutions.
