Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking an experienced Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer to support the DTRA I3TS Infrastructure Services team, responsible for installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of VMware virtualization and storage technologies across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will solve complex problems, communicate effectively with customers and team members, and drive optimization of mission-critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with relevant experience in DoD/clearance environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and VMs across multiple sites.
• Design and engineer scalable enterprise storage architectures for performance, resiliency and growth.
• Develop reference designs and roadmaps aligned to mission requirements.
• Configure core Omnissa Horizon components including brokers, gateways, profiles, and load balancing.
• Ensure DISA STIG and DoD security compliance through hardening efforts.
• Provide performance tuning and troubleshooting for VDI environments.
• Perform maintenance, updates, and patches for security and reliability of the virtual infra.
• Troubleshoot VMware virtualization issues including bottlenecks and connectivity.
• Mentor junior admins and document virtualization architecture and procedures.
• Evaluate emerging VMware/storage solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Support projects to enhance security and capability of the virtualized environment.
• Collaborate with vendors for troubleshooting and resolution.
