Job summary

Odyssey is seeking a Network Administrator to support the SSC/SZQY CIO office at Peterson Space Force Base. The role focuses on protecting and operating the on-premises network infrastructure within a high-stakes defense environment.

You will oversee virtualized networks, manage Cisco/Dell devices, and enforce security through firewall rules and change control procedures. A strong leadership and DoD security background are essential.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
• Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 or 3 with approved baseline certification.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of directly related experience; OR Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and oversee virtualized network systems (VMware NSX, SDDC).
• Manage routers, multilayer switches, and firewalls across vendors (Cisco, Dell).
• Create and manage VMware distributed switches and port groups.
• Execute patching and upgrade schedules for network equipment and virtual infra.
• Uphold network security with firewall rule management and access control.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues across OSI layers 1–3; use Wireshark for analysis.
