Job summary

Cimarron Inc. seeks a Network Virtualization Engineer to support MDA on the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. This is a first-shift role with possible overtime, requiring strong VMware expertise and DoD compliance in a high-security environment.

The candidate will drive virtualization management, assist with deployments, and work with cross-functional teams to maintain a robust test environment for the Government customer.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for consideration due to facility security.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Access to federal facilities with Real ID-compliant ID.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience with Internet Protocols, firewall config, and telecom networks.
• Strong written and presentation skills; proficient in PowerPoint and Visio.
• Collaborative team player with capability to work independently on large projects.
• Deep understanding of virtualization, NSX, and vSAN components.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and configure VMware, including networking protocols and best-practices.
• Perform wide range of VMware admin tasks with minimal supervision.
• Provide root-cause analysis for critical issues.
• Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity staff.
• Conduct vulnerability remediation to meet DoD requirements.
• Monitor systems, perform backups, restoral, and upgrades for continuous ops.
• Document changes in official records to preserve historical data.
• Advise Government customer on status and optimization efforts.
• Assist in deploying new virtual machines and maintain virtualization environments.
