Job summary

HTC Global Services in Dearborn, MI seeks a Senior Platform Engineer focused on virtualization, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure to engineer, deploy, secure, and support enterprise platforms.

You will design VMware and OpenShift Virtualization (OSV) environments, automate repetitive tasks, and develop observability, capacity planning, and reliability across global compute resources.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• 8+ years in software development.
• Strong VMware and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps.
• Cloud infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of GitHub.
• Associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, administer, and protect enterprise virtualization solutions.
• Architect, design, install, and administer VMware and OSV environments.
• Manage lifecycle of infrastructure technologies including security patching, upgrades and decommissioning.
• Develop automation scripts and playbooks for repetitive VMware/OSV tasks.
• Implement and maintain end-to-end observability for VMware/OSV environments.
• Provide L1-L3 support to Operations teams and document procedures.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand capacity needs and future demand.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend support as required.
