Job summary

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead enterprise virtualization, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud management. The role covers vSphere, SAN/NAS, AD, M365, Exchange, InTune, and AI service deployment across on-prem and Azure environments.

You will administer Windows Server, AD and hybrid topologies, maintain DR capabilities, and support security and identity services in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience in enterprise systems administration and engineering with senior/lead responsibilities.
• Expertise in vSphere 7.x/8.x architecture and large-scale virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure and maintain high-availability vSphere environments, including vCenter administration.
• Networking, resource allocation, capacity planning and VM lifecycle management.
• Design, provision and troubleshoot enterprise storage arrays.
• Own the enterprise backup and replication infrastructure (VEEAM).
• Ensure backups for all servers and devices at all locations are performed, monitored and maintained.
• Plan, document and execute restore/recovery testing for DR/BCP.
• Manage enterprise rack servers, firmware upgrades and health monitoring.
• Configure and install servers, storage, virtualization hosts, desktops, printers, network hardware and OS per standards.
• Manage, secure and scale hybrid infrastructure across on-prem and Azure.
• Administer hybrid Exchange, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Maintain AD, GPOs, Entra ID, SSO integrations, PKI and internal certs.
• Own enterprise mobile device management (Intune).
• Support deployment of Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI services.
