Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a VMware Engineer to design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization, NSX, vSAN, and Tanzu across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. This remote role supports enterprise-scale workloads with a strong emphasis on automation and reliability.

The successful candidate will have deep VMware expertise, hands-on experience with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and SRM, and a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions in complex IT estates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Experience with NSX-T or NSX-V networking.
• Strong PowerCLI scripting and automation tooling.
• Familiarity with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid or VMware container platforms.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments across data centers and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Build and maintain Tanzu Kubernetes Grid environments for containerized workloads.
• Implement vRealize / Aria Automation for self-service VM provisioning, lifecycle management, and policy enforcement.
• Operate NSX-T for software-defined networking, including micro-segmentation and load balancing.
• Manage vSAN clusters, storage policies, and storage performance for diverse workload classes.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity using SRM and replication.
• Build automation for VMware infrastructure using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and vRO.
• Design capacity management strategies including right-sizing, reservation, and workload placement.
• Operate VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments with lifecycle management and integration patterns.
• Implement and operate VMware integrations with cloud providers (VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, GCVE).
• Build observability for VMware infrastructure including performance, capacity, and compliance.
• Lead VMware upgrades, lifecycle management cycles, and security patching to minimize disruption.
• Troubleshoot complex VMware issues spanning compute, network, and storage layers.
