We are seeking a Senior VMware Engineer to help build and maintain automation modules for a unified platform spanning Azure and on-premises VMware environments. The role focuses on Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible-based provisioning, with attention to vSphere features like DRS and vSAN.

You will work in a team applying AI-assisted development practices using GitHub Copilot and collaborate with architecture teams to ensure reliable deployment and testing across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating VMware automation.
• Expertise in vSphere, DRS, and vSAN with Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Experience with VMware test cycles, including HCX/SRM failover testing.
• Knowledge of NSX-T segmentation and DFW concepts for collaboration.
• Proficiency in Windows guest customization and Linux cloud-init patterns.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu modules for vSphere VM provisioning and configuration.
• Create and run Ansible playbooks for post-provisioning configuration on VMware VMs.
• Provide DRS, resource pools, and vSAN modules; support SRM and HCX workflows.
• Collaborate with Network Architect on NSX-T rules and DFW implementations.
• Participate in module testing and documentation per IaC Engine standards.
