Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Sr VMO Analyst to support UAP within IT Shared Services. The role oversees VMO processes, project intake, status reporting and compliance with delivery methodology, plus data collection and reporting within VMO and the PPM system, Daptiv.

Responsibilities include vendor relations, contract negotiations, cost analysis, and quarterly business reviews; position located at Duluth or Atlanta with a hybrid work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, or related field.
• 2+ years in BI, analytics and reporting; Cognos is a plus.
• 2+ years with PPM platforms like Daptiv, Clarity, Planview.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Ability to prepare reports, agendas, minutes and documentation.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; reporting capabilities.
• Excellent data analysis and SQL querying.
• Ability to work in a complex, changing environment; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end VMO processes including project intake, status reporting, and methodology compliance.
• Develop and analyze project data within the VMO and administer the PPM system (Daptiv).
• Build relations with technology vendors and support contract negotiations.
• Assist in cost analysis, market research, and quarterly business reviews.
• Collaborate with IT VMO and stakeholders to document processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

The Sr VMO analyst will work in the VMO supporting UAP. The role includes oversight of VMO processes including the project intake process, status reporting and compliance with project delivery methodology. The Sr. VMO Analyst is responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting of project information within the GPC IT Shared Services VMO as well as administration and management of the Project & Portfolio Management system (PPM), Daptiv.

Responsibilities

• Establishes an end-to-end procurement and contract management process aligned with global VMO policies.
• Builds strong and effective relationships with strategic technology vendors supporting Genuine Parts Company
• Participates in negotiating a broad range of software, hardware, labor and security contracts.
• Develops effective contract negotiation strategies to meet the needs of the technology organization.
• Partners with Global VMO on DocuSign CLM implementation.
• Manages the contract lifecycle for technology contracts including tracking renewals proactively.
• Leverages current spend to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Partners with stakeholders to validate utilization and demand.
• Conducts market research and benchmarking as needed to inform cost / benefit analysis.
• Facilitates Quarterly Business Review meetings with strategic vendors supporting Genuine Parts Company in North America and globally.
• Partners with other members of the IT VMO to define and document processes.

• undefinedDesired Qualifications & Experiences: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, or related field Proven work experience as a project coordinator, data/BI analyst or similar role 2 years’ experience with BI, Analytics and reporting platforms, Cognos specifically a plus 2 years’s experience with PPM Platforms such as Daptiv, Clarity, Planview,etc a plus Understanding of project management methodology An ability to prepare reports, agenda, minutes and other documentation as needed Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills Experience and Advanced level skills writing SQL data queries Experience analyzing data and summarizing in reporting for project participants at all levels Able to work effectively in a complex, diverse, and changing environment. Strong teamwork skills
