Serving as an individual contributor within the Unified Experience (UE) Core portfolio, this role is responsible for driving flow, interaction, and visual design decisions that define how users discover information across products and brands. The Senior Designer ensures search patterns maintain consistency with the established design system while actively contributing search-specific components back into the broader system architecture.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Own end-to-end UX and visual design for search experiences across digital platforms, driving interaction decisions, user flows, wireframes, and final high-fidelity visual execution.
  • Maintain visual alignment with the global design system while adapting, building, and refining components tailored specifically for search interactions.
  • Collaborate within a contribution-based model with the core design system team to feed search patterns, assets, and guidelines back into the central system.
  • Partner directly with product management and engineering teams to validate usability, technical feasibility, and visual execution across digital surfaces.
  • Establish and refine core interaction and visual patterns that users rely on to search, filter, and discover content across multiple brand properties.
COMPETENCIES & CORE BEHAVIORS
  • Balanced Design Craft: Demonstrates equal mastery across interaction design, information architecture, user flows, and high-fidelity visual UI execution.
  • Collaborative Systems Thinking: Operates effectively within shared design systems using a contribution-based model to extend and evolve reusable patterns.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Translates design intent into technical and business realities by collaborating closely with product managers, UX researchers, and software engineers.
  • Autonomy & Ownership: Takes full accountability for end-to-end design decisions from conceptualization through validation rather than executing pre-defined direction.
EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer, or Visual Designer owning end-to-end digital product design.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning full lifecycle design decisions, from early flow exploration through pixel-perfect execution.
  • Proven experience working within, contributing to, and evolving established multi-brand or enterprise design systems.
  • Portfolio demonstrating balanced strength in UX interaction flow, information architecture, and high-fidelity visual UI polish.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Strong, accessible portfolio highlighting end-to-end UX/UI design, interactive search or discovery patterns, and visual design systems.
  • Strong proficiency in modern digital design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams during implementation to ensure design integrity across live digital products.
Preferred
  • Prior experience designing search, discovery, catalog, or complex data navigation interfaces for large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML/CSS) to facilitate technical alignment with developer counterparts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Media, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
