Job summary

Intuitive seeks an experienced Vision Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. This hands-on role spans development to field support, leveraging electrical and optics to tackle complex challenges and drive reliability and manufacturability improvements.

You will collaborate with Optical, Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing and Quality teams, lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and apply DOE and rigorous problem solving to deliver

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations spanning design, manufacturing, and field performance.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and develop CAPAs.
• Design, develop, test, validate, and implement engineering solutions.
• Develop manufacturing processes to diagnose failures and repair returned products.
• Drive engineering decisions using data and structured problem-solving.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments to ensure robustness.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Collaborate with Optical, Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, Clinical, and Operations teams.
• Perform DOE and lifecycle validation activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system-level issues with structured methods.
