Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Vision Equipment team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will apply mechanical design and analysis to create test, measurement, and calibration equipment for vision/optical imaging products in a production environment.

You will collaborate across product development, test software, and process teams to ensure precise, reliable equipment, document specifications and procedures, and manage equipment development projects from concept through deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical design of test equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and drawing standards.
• Ability to document specifications, procedures, and maintenance.
• History of cross-functional teamwork on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve test and calibration equipment for high-performance endoscopes.
• Collaborate with product development, test software, and process development teams to define mechanical requirements.
• Create and maintain equipment specifications, validation protocols, assembly instructions, and calibration plans.
• Analyze, debug and improve measurement accuracy, reliability, repeatability of equipment.
• Project manage equipment development with manufacturing and software teams.
