Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking an experienced virtualization administrator in Denver, CO to design, implement, and manage VMware-based environments and related tools. The role requires hands-on administration of host servers, storage, and network security, with a focus on automation and process improvement.

This position supports Microsoft and Linux servers and advances enterprise virtualization initiatives.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Designs and implements VMware-based and other virtualization platform environments and any supporting tools and applications necessary to ensure industry best practices are followed.
Acts as the subject matter expert in all deployed virtual environments and technologies and the responsible escalation point for support issues in the enterprise environment.
Defines and continuously improves processes and procedures to support a fully managed virtual environment and automates processes whenever possible.
Ensures full use and deployment of all beneficial technologies in the virtualization stack, including hyper-converged systems, software defined networking, storage integrations, cloud solutions and management options.
