Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Virtualization and Automation to design, implement, and manage global infrastructure platforms. This role emphasizes IaC, automation, and secure, scalable architectures across multiple facilities on a hybrid work model.

You will work with a diverse engineering team to drive modernization, ensure disaster recovery readiness, and contribute to the long-term infrastructure roadmap while aligning with ITIL/SAFe practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and lifecycle management of enterprise virtualization platforms, server infrastructure, storage systems, and backup technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and related technologies.
• Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell, Ansible, APIs, and other automation frameworks to reduce manual operational activities.
• Collaborate with storage, network, security, and operations teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure infrastructure designs include appropriate security controls, governance, and compliance.
