Job summary

Codesphere seeks an experienced software engineer to own complex features end-to-end—from discovery and planning through design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. You will review code, mentor juniors, and elevate code quality while contributing to the platform’s Deployment, Managed Services, AuthN/AuthZ, and Developer-Experience areas.

You will work in a team that values learning, collaboration, and fast iteration, building cloud-native infrastructure components and APIs that scale

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Go.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, distributed systems, and API/microservices design.
• Degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification.
• Strong CS fundamentals and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own complex features end to end from discovery to deployment and maintenance.
• Conduct code and technical design reviews to raise quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth.

• You own complex features end to end – from product discovery and planning through technical design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

• You conduct code and technical design reviews, raising the bar for quality across the team.

• You shape the capabilities of our virtual cloud provider platform, working on features that improve the overall platform experience – including Deployment-Technology, ManagedService, AuthN/AuthZ, Developer-Experience, ..

What makes you a great fit

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in web or distributed systems

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Go

• Solid understanding of SQL databases, distributed systems, and the design of APIs and microservices architectures

• Degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification

• Strong foundations in Computer Science fundamentals

• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Openness to feedback and a genuine drive to keep learning

• Structured approach to problem-solving and a curiosity for technology

What sets you apart

• Experience in building and/or operating cloud infrastructure components, ideally in a cloud-native environment e.g. message queues, SQL / NoSQL DBs

• Familiarity with React, Go and/or Kubernetes

• Experience building and/or operating monitoring and logging systems

• DevSecOps mindset and hands-on experience
