Job summary

The NBA seeks an Editor in Secaucus, NJ to craft compelling game recaps, highlight reels, and features for YouTube, NBA App, Instagram, X, TikTok and more. You will storyboard, write voiceover scripts, and collaborate with producers and designers to produce platform-tailored content that resonates with diverse audiences.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in sports/video editing, strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, and a portfolio showing storytelling across social formats.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in video editing, preferably in sports or entertainment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each.
• Portfolio of video work is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Edit game recaps, highlight reels, and player features with pacing, music, and storytelling.
• Identify elements and potential storylines from NBA live games and tentpole events, including nights and weekends.
• Storyboard, create scripts for voiceovers, and shot sheets to follow the game story.
• Collaborate with producers, content creators, and designers to develop platform-specific content.
• Edit promotional and branded content for league initiatives, theme weeks, and tentpole events.
• Edit and deliver high-quality video content for multiple platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, NBA App and NBA.com.
• Maintain brand consistency and editorial standards across all content.
• Stay current with trends in sports media, social video, and editing techniques.
