Placements24 is seeking a Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist to lead the transformation of raw footage into compelling narratives for broadcast, digital, and corporate projects. The role requires expert editing and advanced motion graphics, with a strong eye for color, pacing, and storytelling.

You will collaborate with directors, producers and marketing teams in a fast-paced environment, maintain high production standards, and stay updated on the latest software trends.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and innovative company within the South African arts and entertainment landscape, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist to join their creative team in Welkom, Free State . This pivotal role involves transforming raw footage into compelling visual narratives, as well as designing and animating engaging motion graphics for a variety of platforms, including broadcast, digital media, and corporate projects. The ideal candidate possesses a sophisticated understanding of storytelling, exceptional technical proficiency in editing and animation software, and a strong artistic sensibility. You will be instrumental in shaping the visual content that captivates audiences and reinforces brand identity. Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into cohesive and engaging final products, ensuring narrative flow and pacing.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Video Editor and Motion Graphics Artist.
• Proven expertise in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong proficiency in motion graphics and animation software, including Adobe After Effects.
• A solid understanding of visual effects (VFX) principles and techniques.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional editing and motion graphics work across various styles.
• Excellent understanding of color correction, grading, and audio mixing for video.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Film Production, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of 3D animation software is a plus.
