Job summary

Door G is seeking a seasoned post-production editor to join a fast-paced, multi-project environment. You will ingest, organize, and prep footage and assets, build initial selects and string-outs, and cut assemblies under senior guidance to ensure the edit is production-ready.

You will manage folder structures, deliver timelines, and prepare packages for motion graphics, color, sound, and mastering, while QC'ing all outputs and leveraging AI tools to speed workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in post-production at a production company, post house, creative studio, or agency.
• Strong organizational system for taking a project from card offload to archive.
• Editorial proficiency in continuity, pacing, coverage, and shot selection.
• Judgment to surface important takes within eight hours of footage.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and professional media workflows; After Effects/DaVinci Resolve/Photoshop/Illustrator a plus.
• Codec, transcoding, sync, multicam, formats, and delivery specs know-how.
• Clear communicator who integrates into a team quickly.
• Familiarity with AI post tools for logging, transcription, and cleanup.
• Experience with virtual production footage or large multicam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ingest, sync, label, and organize footage and assets into projects that are immediately workable.
• Build selects and string-outs to give editors a starting point, surfacing best takes and structuring material.
• Cut assemblies, rough cuts, cutdowns, and versions under supervision of Senior Editor or Creative Director.
• Own folder structures, naming conventions, and version control across projects.
• Prepare timelines and asset packages for motion graphics, VFX, color, sound, and mastering.
• Export review files and final deliverables to spec across broadcast, web, social, and presentation platforms.
• QC media, graphics, captions, audio, and exports before review/delivery.
• Flag problems early and run backups, project closeout, and archiving.
• Use AI-assisted tools for transcription, logging, search, audio cleanup, and reframing.
