Job summary

Advanced Systems Group, LLC in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Senior Video Editor to power high-impact social and corporate content for our clients. You will own the end-to-end editing process, from ideation to delivery, and mentor junior editors in a fast-paced, creative environment.

You will shape strategies into compelling assets, maintain platform-specific knowledge, and push the boundaries with AI-assisted workflows using Google's latest models.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience editing advertising, commercial, or digital content for agencies, brands, or digital newsrooms.
• Pro-level command of Adobe Premiere Pro and deep skills in Avid and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced technical knowledge for platform-optimized content (ratios, compression, safe zones).
• Demonstrated creativity leveraging Google’s generative AI models (Nano Banana, Veo, Flow).

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire post-production lifecycle, juggling multiple projects from raw footage to polished deliverables.
• Shape creative strategies into compelling video assets that exceed business objectives.
• Maintain top-tier technical knowledge of platform-specific requirements and industry best practices.
• Execute all aspects of finishing, from color and audio to slick motion graphics and brand packaging.
• Pioneer the AI-powered future, automating workflows with Google’s latest models to push what’s possible in post production.
• Partner across creative, graphics, and production teams to turn feedback into standout stories.
• Ensure every visual asset is cohesive with innovative video templates and structural design.
• Handle high-volume, time-sensitive work streams—providing proactive updates and hitting deadlines with confidence.
• Mentor junior editors and foster a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

• Comprehensive expertise in social and corporate content, with a polished portfolio to show for it
• Pro-level command of Adobe Premiere Pro and deep skills in Avid and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced technical knowledge for platform-optimized content (ratios, compression, safe zones)
• Demonstrated creativity leveraging Google’s generative AI models (Nano Banana, Veo, Flow)
• Mastery of editing fundamentals—narrative, pacing, music, and grabbing attention in three seconds or less
