You will mentor managers, drive training on controls, oversee testing and reporting, and partner with leadership to implement policy improvements and risk mitigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of total work experience, with 1–3 years of management experience preferred.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large or specialized teams of control professionals, including matrixed and geographically dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, monitor and minimize business risks through effective control policies and procedures.
• Manage multiple teams responsible for control testing and reporting on control standards.
• Develop training on policies and procedures concerning controls and risk management.
• Monitor results on key risks, errors/near misses, reconciliations and root cause analyses; determine appropriate management intervention.
• Lead and contribute to policies for developing, documenting and analyzing existing control procedures.
• Manage complex projects that improve controls to mitigate deficiencies, ensuring regulatory and organizational standards are met.
• Use knowledge of market trends to determine potential risks and recommend changes.
• Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff to maximize contribution and growth.
