CRC Group in the United States seeks an Experienced Underwriting leader for Environmental risk, working remotely from California. You will guide advanced risk assessments, pricing strategies, and coverage terms for complex accounts.

Lead underwriting teams, develop guidelines, and collaborate with actuarial, legal, and product colleagues to craft innovative solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive underwriting experience in property, casualty, or specialty lines.
  • CPCU designation preferred; AU certification an advantage.
  • State-specific licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex and high-value submissions to determine risk acceptance, pricing, and terms.
  • Provide expert consultation and mentoring to underwriters on risk analysis and portfolio management.
  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, best practices, and QC measures for compliance.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, legal, and product teams to design innovative solutions and pricing models.
  • Analyze market trends, loss ratios, and competitors to inform underwriting strategy.
  • Assist in resolving escalated underwriting issues and negotiate terms with brokers/clients.
  • Contribute to training programs and technology adoption to enhance capabilities.
