Job summary

Krypton Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Vibration Test Engineer to establish and lead our vibration testing capability around the LDS V8800 shaker system in Plano, TX. You will define lab standards, mentor staff, and act as the technical authority on shaker testing, fixture design, and test methodology.

You will set up, calibrate, and run vibration tests, interpret MIL-STD and customer requirements, and deliver audit-ready reports while growing the team of test engineers as the lab scales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience operating electrodynamic shaker systems in aerospace/defense testing.
• Direct experience with LDS V8800 or equivalent is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot amplifier faults, control-loop issues, and sensor/wiring problems without vendor support.
• Solid grasp of resonance, transmissibility, PSD/spectral analysis, mass loading, and fixture dynamics.
• Practical fixture design/selection experience including mass loading limits and resonance avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for vibration testing including ownership of shaker system and lab operations.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate shaker system to test components and structures.
• Program and execute vibration profiles using control software.
• Interpret aerospace/defense specs and customer qualifications into test plans.
• Design or direct fabrication of test fixtures and ensure proper mounting and force/frequency compatibility.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults and serve as escalation for test anomalies.
• Analyze test data and author audit-ready reports for customers and regulators.
• Lead root-cause investigations for test article failures.
• Establish lab procedures, safety protocols, calibration schedules, and AS9100 compliance.
• Recruit, train, and mentor future operators/engineers.
